    Below are our terms and conditions for our Furniture Enterprise

Seller :-

  1. Commission is charged at a minimum donation of 30% of the final sale price with a minimum charge of £3.50 per item. Whether sold or not.
  2. Collection and delivery charges are pro rata based on geographic location see separate scale.
  3. Where an item has had a reserve price, the minimum charge per item is £10 plus the collection charge if we have picked up the item will be incurred.
  4. All items will be displayed for sale at the full agreed asking price for a period of 12 weeks. After this time we will re-negotiate a revised selling price with the seller or arrange for the seller to collect their items.
  5. Items presented for sale must be compliant with current legislation and of a salable quality; any costs incurred from disposal of unsold items will be at the expense of the owner.
  6. Collections of furniture, rugs and curtains are by prior appointment only and we maintain the right to refuse items for sale based on their quality, legality and salability.
  7. Furniture and furnishings are accepted wholly as donations based on the same criteria as point 5, all items must be legal and of a salable quality.
  8. Each seller must as a minimum provide their name, address, contact telephone and VAT status.
  9. VAT is chargeable for all commission payable; this will be deducted from settlement figure of items sold.
  10. We do not take electrical items unless by prior negotiation.
  11. We make all payments by bank transfer unless alternative is agreed by prior negotiation.

Delivery Terms and Conditions

  1. Delivery will be made to the address specified by the customer on the completed order form.
  2. Delivery will be made to the main entrance of the delivery address provided, unless prior agreement has been made.
  3. We reserve the right to deliver only to the main entrance of the delivery address.
  4. Upon delivery, all goods must be signed for by an adult aged 18 or older.
  5. Whilst we make every effort to deliver your goods at the agreed time, occasionally the delivery of your furniture may be delayed or postponed due to circumstances beyond our control. In the event of this happening we will make every effort to keep you informed and discuss a revised delivery timescale.
  6. We are unable to remove old furniture (unless previously agreed).
  7. Charges will apply for redelivery.
  8. Examine your order upon delivery to ensure that it is all in the condition agreed at purchase. If you have any concerns please raise them with the delivery personnel at the time of delivery.
  9. Disability Action Yorkshire will not be held responsible for any damage or missing parts reported once we have left the property.
