Fundraising Events for 2012 are being planned at the moment but here are a few organised so far:
20th May 2012 – Rotary Club Harrogate Nidderdale Charity Walk. You can choose to walk 4, 8, 15 or 22 miles. To help raise funds towards the holiday home we are undertaking our own DAY to DAY Challenge. The Chair of our Trustee Board, Martyn Weller, who is himself disabled, is travelling from the DAY HQ in Harrogate, Yorkshire to the DAY Holiday Home in Louth, Lincolnshire in just one DAY (24 Hrs) by MOBILITY SCOOTER! It is 125 miles DAY to DAY so he must average 5.2MPH, but his scooter is flat out at just 8mph and he is only permitted to use footpaths, pedestrian routes or minor roads. We simply could not hold successful fundraising events without the amazing support of our fundraising volunteers. Becoming a fundraising volunteer is a great way to meet new friends, have some fun and help disabled adults in your local community at the same time.
