Why fundraise for DAY?

Without the generosity of the local community, we could not continue to offer our services to local disabled people. We want to enable disabled people to live the lifestyle of their choosing, by providing quality services.

By fundraising for us, you are helping disabled people to access training and learning courses; learn independent living skills in our residential care home; and have access to care and support within their own homes. You are helping them to achieve their potential and play a role in the community. You are helping them to live how they want to live.

Current Fundraising Projects

We currently need fundraising support for the following

• A new wheelchair adapatable vehicle, to allow days-out and short breaks
• Hydraulic kitchen units that can move up and down to a wheelchair-user's level
• Touch screen computers to teach our trainees vital IT Skills
• Redesigning and landscaping the garden at 34 Claro Road, to make it more accessible and enjoyable for residents

You can choose to fundraise for a specific project, or just donate towards the running costs of our existing services.

Ideas and Inspiration

There are many ways you can fundraise for DAY...

Keep a penny pot - all your spare change soon adds up!
Hold a coffee morning or tea party - bake lots of cakes and hold a raffle.
Hold a quiz - in your office or local pub. Or take part in our quiz!
Dress up - pay a pound and dress up (or down) for the day.
Have a fashion show - show off clothes from local designers or shops!

Be imaginative and creative and do something fun to fundraise for us!

Fundraising Quizzes

Each month we have a different postal quiz for you to take part in.
The quiz will be on a different theme each month, so there will be something to challenge everyone.

The Weather Lottery

Join our weather lottery and you could win big cash prizes!

We are proud to be supported by Italian artist Alex Cedroni. Alex will be kindly donating 20% of all profits from sales of his charcoal artwork to us.
