Alex Cedroni Art Exhibitions
Wensley Chapel, Harrogate - Sat 24th and 31st July

One of our supporters, Alex Cedroni, will be exhibiting his art at the Wensley Chapel in Harrogate on two days at the end of July.

Alex has agreed to give 20% of all his profits to Disability Action Yorkshire.

He works entirely in charcoal to create Italian-inspired pieces and his work can be viewed at www.alexonthewall.co.uk.

Photography Competition
"The Best of Yorkshire's Summer"

We are holding a photography competition to find the most iconic and unique image of the summertime in Yorkshire.

Your photograph can be of absolutely anything, as long as it is located somewhere in Yorkshire and represents summer.

Entries cost £10 and the closing date is 30 July 2010.

The winning photographer will win a day's photography course in the Yorkshire Dales, courtesy of Fotodayz, and a year's subscription to Photography Monthly. The winning photograph will also be published in Photography Monthly.
The runner-up will win a £250 voucher to spend at The Whole Picture Company in Harrogate

Please send in a 10"x 8" photograph, marked "Photography Competition" to Unit i4A Hornbeam Park Oval, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG2 8RB.
Please include your name, age, email address, telephone number, name or caption for the photograph and the location it was taken.

The competition will be judged by Paul Miguel, noted Yorkshire ladnscape photographer, and the Director of Disability Action Yorkshire.

Coffee Morning
Tues 3rd August, Crown and Anchor, Sowerby
10:00am - 11:30am

The Crown and Anchor pub in Sowerby, Thirsk, have kindly agreed to hold a coffee morning in aid of Disability Action Yorkshire.
For just £3, you can enjoy unlimited tea, coffee and cake in this lovely country pub.

50% will go to Disability Action Yorkshire's services for disabled people across Yorkshire.

Wetherby Market - Fundraising Stall
Thurs 12th August, Wetherby

Once again, our Spot On trainees will be running a fundraising stall, this time at Wetherby Market.
They will be selling bric-a-brac and books, to raise vital funds for our services.

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
Saturday 14th August, Yorkshire Dales National Park

15 people from Delphi Diesel Systems in London have agreed to attempt the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in aid of Disability Action Yorkshire.
They will attempt to climb 3 mountains, walk over 25 miles, in under 12 hours, to raise money for disabled adults across Yorkshire.

Summer Fayre
Saturday 28th August, Thirsk Town Hall
10:00 - 4:00pm

Come and enjoy a day filled with real family fun in Thirsk.
We will be having lots of stalls, featuring food and gifts, as well as games, face-painting, ice-cream, strawberries and cream and much more.

Free admission. Doors open between 10am and 4pm.
